Do we both need our birth times?
They help: the birth time gives the Ascendant and the houses, so the report can show the areas of life you light up in each other. Without one or both times, it still compares every planet and aspect and says what it leaves out.
Is it only for couples?
Most people order it for a partner or a crush, but the text holds for any close bond: a friend, a sibling, a parent or a business partner.
Does the other person get an email?
No. Only you receive the report. We use the other person’s birth details only to make it, and delete them with your order after 14 days.
How is it calculated?
Both charts are calculated with Astronomy Engine from the exact time and place of birth, with historical time zones. Aspects between the charts use three quarters of the natal orbs.
An old and serious base, from trusted sources
- A tradition of almost 2,000 years. Your chart follows the classical rules of Western astrology, set down by Ptolemy in the Tetrabiblos in the 2nd century: the tropical zodiac, the major aspects and the dignities of the planets, with the Placidus houses astrologers have used since the 17th century.
- Astronomy, not guesswork. Planet positions come from the VSOP87 planetary theory that observatories use, through the open Astronomy Engine library, which is checked against NASA JPL data. Chiron comes from NASA JPL Horizons.
- Your exact place and time. Every city is located with GeoNames, and the time zone in force on your birth date comes from the IANA database, the same one your phone uses.
